Graphic Design

Graphic design will always be my true love. As a student, I got my start working at Richard High Design in Houston, Texas where I gained an appreciation for the art of typography using traditional paste-up. After graduating from the University of Houston with a BFA in graphic design, I began working for Christopher Lockwood Design where I received a crash course in computer graphics. I learned how to illustrate directly on the computer using the first version of Adobe Illustrator which required toggling between wire and preview modes. I became proficient in layout, illustration, and photo editing which helped me further my career at Women's Healthcare Consultants (WHC) in Evanston, Illinois as Senior Designer in the marketing department.  I designed newsletters for women's health, created brochures, designed and illustrated children's books and created marketing for the company. I've been on my own since 2002, and more recently, have made the switch to fine arts.

This page displays art I created while working at Lockwood Design and WHC.
